Emily is the Creative Director behind The Modern Approach, a design-driven planner and stylist with a deep love for creating effortlessly refined celebrations that feel as good as they look. With 10+ years in the wedding industry and a natural eye for detail with the kind of organisational flair that keeps everything on track, Emily has truly found her calling in the world of weddings.
Her approach is rooted in connection, creativity, and care and she feels genuinely honoured each time she’s invited to help bring someone’s vision to life. For Emily, it’s not just about timelines and logistics (though those are handled with precision); it’s about crafting an experience where style meets intention and every guest walks into a space that feels uniquely you.
Always striving to grow and refine her offerings, Emily actively seeks out opportunities to learn from some of the best in the industry. She’s worked alongside strong, design-led women like Crystal Bailey, a respected well known name in the Australian interior design space and frequently travels to Queensland to learn from powerhouse wedding planner and stylist Mandi from Ivy and Bleu events whose leadership in the wedding industry continues to inspire. Surrounding herself with passionate, strong creative women and soaking up every insight fuels Emily’s ever-evolving vision for The Modern Approach and ultimately, for the couples she serves.

Christina is our go-to stylist with a flair for creating magical moments. With her background in property styling, she knows how to transform spaces into captivating wonderlands. Plus she has experience in catering and events which means this woman knows how to throw a party like no other! Christina lives for weaving couples' love stories into unique, personalized weddings that will wow everyone.
Tash
Our girl Friday
Tash is the jack-of-all-trades of The Modern Approach! When she’s not helping setting up and styling weddings and events, you might find her with a camera in hand capturing the beautiful set up we’ve created. With her extensive administration background, Tash works behind the scenes helping with those normal business related jobs, and the girl we turn to whenever we need an extra pair of hands, eyes or creative ideas.
