Every wedding has a lot of moving parts behind the scenes that our couples never see. Nili and Tim’s had more than most, with a fully outdoor ceremony and no indoor backup option.
Nili and Tim are Adelaide locals who now call London home. When they decided to come back to marry and plan their wedding from overseas, they needed someone on the ground who could carry the planning for them, someone they could trust completely from the other side of the world. That is exactly what we are here for.
From the very beginning, distance was never a barrier. Through Aisle Planner, our planning portal, we collaborated in real time on every detail despite the time difference. Decisions were made, timelines were built, suppliers were locked in. By the time Nili and Tim landed in Adelaide, the foundation was already solid.
Their vision was rich and considered. Moody greens, burgundy, chocolate browns, with softer lighter tones woven through for contrast. The chocolate velvet linens anchored the styling and set the tone for everything that sat around them. Modern and elevated, with a warmth that made the whole design feel genuinely inviting rather than just beautiful to look at.
Their ceremony was held at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, with the reception to follow at the Rose Garden Pavilion. A stunning pairing, and a location that worked beautifully for guests coming from all corners.
In the days leading up to the wedding, Adelaide’s forecast turned. Storms and heavy rain were predicted right across the ceremony and canapé hour, and what followed was one of the more intense lead ups we have navigated. Finding available indoor venues at short notice, working through potential timeline changes, going back to every supplier to confirm they could move earlier if needed. Multiple conversations, multiple contingencies, all happening quietly behind the scenes so that Nili and Tim felt supported rather than stressed.
The rain held off. They had their garden ceremony, exactly as they had envisioned it. By the time the celebrations moved inside for the reception, the skies finally opened. The timing could not have been more perfect.
The morning after, a message came through from our couple. They told us they could not articulate how spectacular and perfect everything was, that it was entirely as they had envisioned and more, and that we had made the whole thing feel easy and stress free. A perfect dream, in their words.
That is everything to us. It’s why we put everything into every wedding—no detail, conversation, or contingency plan is ever too much.
If you are planning a wedding in Adelaide, the Hills, the Barossa or the Fleurieu and are dreaming of a garden ceremony, a destination wedding back home, or simply looking for a stylist and planner who will carry every detail so you don’t have to, we would love to hear from you.
