At The Modern Approach, our full wedding planning service is designed for couples who want their day to feel effortless, intentional and entirely their own. When Kimberley and Alexei booked us, we began by truly understanding the atmosphere they wanted to create, intimate, casual yet elevated, with a long lunch centred around beautiful food and meaningful connection.

We sourced several venue options that aligned with their vision, and they ultimately chose the iconic Coriole Vineyards in McLaren Vale. With its rolling hills and breathtaking views, it provided the perfect setting for the relaxed yet refined celebration they had imagined. From there, they placed their full trust in us. We curated a team of suppliers we knew would not only deliver exceptional quality, but enhance the overall feel of their day. That trust allowed the entire planning process to feel calm, cohesive and aligned from the very beginning.

Their wedding day unfolded exactly as intended. They chose to get ready together at home, arriving at the venue side by side before taking their photos. A late morning ceremony was followed by champagne and cocktails, leading into an intimate vegan long lunch for 35 guests. The afternoon flowed with conversation, laughter and beautifully prepared food, unhurried, connected and full of warmth.

Connection was at the core of Kimberley and Alexei’s wedding, connection to each other, connection to their loved ones and connection to a way of celebrating that felt true to them.
