WEDDING PLANNER ADELAIDE

We're located in the north/eastern suburbs of Adelaide, South Australia. We travel all over the state creating beautiful weddings for our couples but we don't travel outside of SA for weddings and events.  

There is no correct answer here but ideally 12-24 months out from your wedding although we have worked to much shorter planning timeframes. 

We only take on a limited number of weddings and elopements each year and although we may have your date available if we already have other weddings booked that month we won't over schedule our calendar so we can give our couples a high level of service. We recommend if we have sent you a personalised quote, pay the 30% booking fee as soon as possible to secure your date. We can't hold dates without the booking fee being paid. 

In saying all this we have taken on elopements 30 days out and we are suckers for a new venue or killer styling concept so always reach out to check our availability. 

Book a planning package if you are overwhelmed and have no idea where to start. Our planning package even includes sourcing your venue for you (if required). You are time-poor or have no idea about your budgets or all of the above.

Our planning package is for couples who want more help than just a gorgeously styled set-up and pretty pictures. Planning a wedding is all about logistics management and detail-orientated planning, so we take on all those time-consuming tasks so that planning your wedding is enjoyable. We can take over the planning at any stage. It doesn’t have to be right at the beginning of your journey. We also have a table of inclusions at the bottom of our package pages so you can compare inclusions.

Book just a styling package if you want someone who will help to create a cohesive vision, bringing all the visual elements of the wedding together. This package is for couples who want the set-up to be stylish AF and want professional help pulling everything together.  

Our styling package includes liaising with, booking and managing styling suppliers like florists, lighting, furniture and décor hire, stationery and cake makers. We will work with them in the planning phase and closer to the wedding day with logistics management and setup/pack up timelines etc. We are also there on the day coordinating all these suppliers to ensure your set-up is visually gorgeous.

Venue Coordinators work for that specific venue and will only generally provide limited assistance with venue-related tasks such as menu creation, event run sheets for their staff and catering needs.

Most venue coordinators have only the venues needs as their priority, whereas if you hire us, we work for you with only your needs and priorities in mind. Venue coordinators will sometimes do limited set-up of décor, but they don’t have a stylist eye for the finer details, and we would have spent months knowing your likes and dislikes to ensure the set-up is as perfect as possible. Your venue coordinator isn’t going to obsess over the perfect spot for your cake to be placed that is going to give you the most aesthetically pleasing photos…but we do.

Not anymore as a standalone service, we have in the past, but covid made us really analyse what we love and what we don't love. On-the-day set-up and coordination is included in both our Wedding planning and Wedding styling packages but not as a standalone service.

This is because with just OTD, we don't get to build that connection over time with our couples, and we love creating your overall styling design concept and then bringing it to life on the day, so we miss out on the design phases with just OTD setups. To put it simply, it just doesn't make our hearts as happy. 

Not anymore, we have in the past but over the years we have really taken the time to consider what we enjoy about the events industry and our biggest love is the connection we build with our couples and the emotion of playing a part in their special day. We simply just don't get the same emotional job satisfaction planning corporate events. 

If we are available, we can help you with any special occasions, from engagement parties, hens, birthdays or any special event you want a killer set up for. 

Each of our weddings and events is a personalised service where we create the styling concept based on getting to know you, your venue and your likes and dislikes, and we pride ourselves on working to your budget. We know where you need to spend your $ and where you can save $ for the biggest impact. We are also big believers in repurposing your ceremony florals into your reception space, so you are getting the most bang for your buck and get to enjoy all your floral arrangements all night long. 

The reason you hire a stylis though is that you want a visually spectacular set up, and to achieve a gorgeous set up, you need to spend money on styling and florals. On average, our couples spend $6-15k on florals for 100 pax weddings and $5k-10k plus on styling elements, but we don't have min spends.  No two weddings are the same though so we will work closely with you to guide you through all parts of a wedding set-up, breaking down the costs and making decisions together about where to spend your styling $. 

If you hire us, you'll deal with Emily in the lead-up to the wedding, not 3 different employees and Emily will liaise with all your suppliers depending on what package you choose. You'll have one person who is all over the details, so you don't need to juggle dealing with sometimes 10+ suppliers. 

We have a personalised online wedding planning portal that we hook you up to as soon as you've secured us with payment of your booking fee. The portal is amazing for keeping everything in a central location, so you don't need to scroll through hundreds of emails to find the information you want. It will also keep you motivated, organised and excited as you can log in at any stage and revisit the awesome mood board and final design concept we have created for you. It's not only a great organisational tool, but it's also very visual for those who need visual aids to help them see the end goal.

You are never just a number, we are emotionally invested in giving you the best service and day possible; Emily has shed many tears on wedding days when her couples see their set-up, and that's because she truly cares. Not to mention she is a bit of a detail-oriented freak, and that's the best kind of person you want on your team. Emily is experienced and will give you her honest thoughts and opinions, so you'll always have someone to bounce ideas off, and she will always be your biggest supporter of having the wedding YOU want, not what everyone else wants you to have. 

Since the business started in 2015, we have not missed a wedding day yet, trust us. Emily is your main contact during the planning and styling preparations for your wedding, but we have several set-up assistants who are there on your wedding day executing the set-up to perfection so in the unlikely case that Emily wasn't able to attend due to illness or a scheduling conflict (thanks Covid and reschedules) we still have staff that work for The Modern Approach that would be there. We are also very connected in the wedding industry, and some of our closest friends are other wedding stylists we can reach out to for help in the unlikely event that this would be required. We would NEVER let you down.
